Metro Atlanta home prices went up by double digits year-over-year in March, but the pace is slowing, according to a report in the Atlanta Business Chronicle. The monthly S&P/Case-Shiller Home Price Indices report shows home prices here jumped 15.7 percent annually in March, but increased only 1 percent from February to March. Nationally, home prices rose 10.3 percent year-over-year and went up a mere 0.2 percent from February to March.

The final flight of AirTran Airways is scheduled for Dec. 28, according to a report in the AJC. The Atlanta-to-Tampa, Florida, trip has been designated AirTran Flight 1 and will retrace the route taken by a predecessor airline’s first flight in October 1993. AirTran was purchased by Southwest Airlines in 2010.

The draft master plan for the Medline Corridor, the area around Scott Boulevard/ Lawrenceville Highway; North Decatur Road, Church Street and DeKalb Industrial Way, will be unveiled June 6. The corridor takes its name from the DeKalb Medical Center, which is in the area. According to a report from WABE, the focus is on creating a “wellness district” not only to spur more medical industry development but also to encourage more healthful lifestyles for those who live and work along the Medline corridor.
