From police reports dated May 4 through May 17.
The following information was provided to the Buckhead Reporter by the Zone 2 precinct of the Atlanta Police Department from its records and is presumed to be accurate.
2000 block of Bolton Road, NW – An aggravated assault was reported on May 3. Two men exited a white van and entered the store. One man went to the video poker machine and the other man stood at the counter, showed an employee a black handgun and said, “I will kill you,” and walked away. The suspect did not ask for money or merchandise, and ran out of the store. The other man got in the van, went across the street, and said he had no knowledge of what happened at the gas station because he was only there playing games.
2000 block of Peachtree Road, NE – An aggravated assault was reported on May 5. A woman stabbed her boyfriend in the leg with a kitchen knife. She was arrested and transported to jail.
500 block of Northside Circle, NW – An aggravated assault was reported on May 8. A woman said her roommate and former lover struck her with shoes, glasses, ashtrays and her hands. The victim had a large laceration to the right side of her face, near her eye, and complained of injuries to her left hand, the right side of her face, and the back of her head. The suspect was not on the scene and not located.
2700 block of Defoors Ferry Road, NW – An aggravated assault was reported on May 14. A woman said her roommate shot her with a pellet gun and kicked her in the chest after they argued.
3000 block of Piedmont Road, NE – An aggravated assault was reported on May 15. A man was behind a gas station when he was punched and kicked by multiple unknown men who were armed with a pistol. While the victim was being attacked, one of the suspects said, “He doesn’t have anything, let’s go,” and the suspects fled the scene. The victim had lacerations on his forehead, minor cuts on his head and left arm, and was transported to Grady Hospital.
2300 block of Cheshire Bridge Road, NE – An aggravated assault was reported on May 16. A woman was approached by a man who said he was a pimp and wanted her to work for him. When she refused, the subject began to continually harass her. He approached her, spit in her face and threatened to “blow her head off,” while pointing a pistol at her.
1100 block of Chattahoochee Avenue, NW – A commercial robbery was reported on May 7. Two men entered a gas station. One of the men went toward the drink machine. The second man made his way toward the cash register. Two more men entered the store. They carried black garbage bags. They went behind the counter. The men removed cigarettes from the wall and cash from the drawer of the store. They asked the clerk for his wallet, but he said he didn’t have one. They then stole his cellphone from the counter. A fifth man entered the store, but retreated when he saw the other men leaving. Approximately $550 in cash and about 40 boxes of cigarettes were stolen.
900 block of Collier Road, NW – A pedestrian robbery was reported on May 7. A man said he met a woman at a restaurant. He said he took her to a strip club and later to Collier Road. He said after entering the gate, he left his vehicle to give the woman a hug. While giving the hug, three men wearing masks jumped him. They attempted to take his necklace. The suspects shot him in the arm. He ran when they failed to get his necklace. He fled the area and ended up in the 1300 block of Marietta Boulevard and was then transported to Grady Hospital.
3200 block of Andrews Drive, NE – A robbery at a residence was reported on May 10. Two suspects went into the home, tied up the victim, and stole $100,000 in property. They hit the victim with a gun above the left eye.
2000 block of Bolton Road, NW – A pedestrian robbery was reported on May 12. A man said his ex-girlfriend chased him in her vehicle and struck him with it. He said she was upset because he left her and moved out. He said she got out of the vehicle, hit and scratched him, and took his cellphone. He complained of a sore arm.
2500 block of Morosgo Place, NE – A pedestrian robbery was reported on May 14. A woman said she was looking for a place to park her vehicle when two men approached her and told her to get in the back seat. She saw one had a gun so she threw her keys, and the two suspects stole the vehicle.
2000 block of Peachtree Road, NE – A pedestrian robbery was reported on May 15. A woman said she was robbed, and she was transported to Grady Hospital. Two witnesses said the victim was putting her groceries in her vehicle when a maroon 2007 Lincoln with one person inside approached. The suspect shoved her onto the floor and took her vehicle.
1700 block of Howell Mill Road, NW – A pedestrian robbery was reported on May 17. Two women got out of a vehicle. One was approached by a man who shoved a gun into her abdomen and said, “Give me all you got.” She gave a phone and keys to the suspect, who left with another man. The second woman followed the suspects and was shot at by one of them, who missed.
2900 block of Pharr Court, NW – A pedestrian robbery was reported on May 17. A man was walking down Pharr Court when he was tackled next to a flag pole by two men. One suspect showed a silver gun, turned the victim over on his stomach, pointed the gun at his head, and told him not to move for at least two minutes. The second suspect went into the victim’s pockets and removed house keys, a cellphone and a wallet. Both suspects ran on foot toward Peachtree Road.
3700 block of Roswell Road, NE – A commercial robbery was reported on May 17. A man entered the business, produced a handgun, and demanded the manager go to the back room. He told the manager to open the safe. The suspect took $2,500. He was wearing a mask over his face and gloves on his hands.
2100 block of Forrest Place, NW – A residential burglary was reported on May 4. A suspect removed a screen, entered the residence, and stole a bottle of champagne from the house.
