The Dunwoody Police Department has arrested two Dunwoody residents in a sex trafficking operation.

Eric James Hall, 46, and Afiong Bassey Okon, 27, have been charged with trafficking a person for sexual servitude, violation of the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organization Act (RICO), pimping and keeping a place of prostitution. Hall has also been charged with two counts of simple assault.

On May 27, the Dunwoody Police Department responded to the Gables Metropolitan Apartment Complex to follow up with a domestic violence complaint. During this domestic violence investigation, officers discovered evidence of a prostitution and sex trafficking operation; detectives were notified at that time for further investigation. Detective Andrew Thompson worked closely with the DeKalb County District Attorney’s office during the investigation of this case given the nature of the offenses, seriousness of the charges an adverse impact on the victims.
