Instacart will deliver groceries from Kroger and Costco (you don’t have to be a member) and plans to add additional stores in the coming weeks (in San Francisco, Whole Foods is part of the service). Unlike some services, perishable goods like produce and dairy will be available for delivery.
The delivery area is currently north of I-20, including Old Fourth Ward, Downtown, Virginia-Highland, Decatur, Midtown and Buckhead and Brookhaven. Outside the perimeter service will be added soon.
So how much does it cost? Delivery is free for your first order. After that, it’s $3.99 for two hour delivery and $5.99 for one hour if you spend $35 or more, and $7.99 for two hours and $9.99 for one hour for under $35.
For more information, visit instacart.com and enter your zip code to see if your neighborhood is in the service area.
