In June, we sent out a call via social media for you to tell us about the best barbecue joints in the city, and you responded via Twitter, Facebook and on our website. Fox Bros.
“Fox Bros is simply outstanding,” said Kim Openo. “The best of the best, I save for once a year around my birthday is a grilled pimento cheese sandwich that would make you want to slap yo’ Daddy!” B. Bone Lick

DBA Barbecue
Carol Simmons told us on Facebook that DBA has been a favorite for years. “Smoked with love, and a great atmosphere, it’s southern BBQ joint with just a touch of class. Moe’s Original BBQ

Daddy D’z
“Their ribs are true cooked low and slow ribs; no par boiling, no time in an oven, just moist with a great smoke flavor and a rich, thick sauce that makes ‘em even better,” said Bud Carter, who also had high praise for Daddy D’z sweet tea. “They’ve turned this standard issue commodity into something  better than anything other than a cold beer. Fat Matt’s Rib Shack
An Atlanta institution, Fat Matt’s has become a go-to spot for ribs with a side of blues music. The pulled pork sandwich and Brunswick Stew are the stuff barbecue dreams are made of. 1811 Piedmont Ave.; fatmattsribshack.com.

Editor’s choice: This new-ish spot in Kirkwood has become one of my favorites because of the tender pulled pork, excellent sauce and a delicious array of sides like mac ‘n’cheese, baked beans, green beans and perfect cornbread muffins. 1976 Hosea L. Williams Drive.

Sweet Auburn BBQ
“I’ve really loved Sweet Auburn BBQ in Poncey-Highland lately,” reader Benjamin told us on our website. “Though not a common BBQ item or one that is more traditionally served, I’m really into their smoked wings. Community Q
