Chaparral Estates sign

Chaparral Estates wants its sign back.
A metal plaque mounted on a wall at the Dunwoody Club Drive entrance to the Sandy Springs subdivision disappeared recently.
“They just pulled it out of the wall,” said Anita Mize, secretary of the Chaparral Estates Community Association. “I just don’t understand things like that.”
Mize noticed the sign was missing Saturday, June 28, when she went out to decorate the wall for the coming Fourth of July holiday. The association puts up flags and streamers in anticipation of the holiday, she said.
The sign was one of a pair mounted on matching walls at the subdivision entrance.
Mize said she reported the theft to Sandy Springs police.
Anyone with information about the missing sign is encouraged to call 404-303-9992 or 770-394-9430 or email am_mize@bellsouth.net or GCL@lutrick.net.
