Edgewood Robbery suspects

The Atlanta Police Department is seeking the public’s help in finding two armed robbers who got more than they were bargaining for from their would-be victim.

The incident occurred June 22 on Edgewood Avenue around 1:30 a.m. The victim was walking along Edgewood when an SUV, described as a dark blue Chevy, pulled up alongside of her. The two males depicted in the attached sketches exited the vehicle and attempted to grab a cell phone from her hand. The victim struggled with one of the males and he then struck her with what she believed to be a flashlight. At this point, the victim grabbed a pocket knife she was carrying and stabbed him in his right thigh. The other perpetrator brandished a handgun and said he was going to shoot her. He didn’t fire the weapon and both perpetrators jumped back in the SUV and fled the scene. No property from the victim was stolen, however, the knife was still embedded in the one perpetrator’s leg when they bolted.

Any information on the case can be submitted anonymously to the Crime Stoppers Atlanta tip line at 404-577-TIPS (8477), online at crimestoppersatlanta.org or by texting CSA and the tip to CRIMES (274637). Persons do not have to give their name or any identifying information to be eligible for the reward of up to $2,000 for the arrest and indictment of the suspects.
