Atlanta Police are searching for the suspect in a violent attack against a woman in the underground parking deck at Target in the Edgewood Retail District off Moreland Avenue. The incident happened around noon on July 5, according to the police report. The victim had just gotten out of her car ( a Mercedes ML350) when the suspect punched her in the head. As she lay on the ground , the suspect took her keys and purse and threatened to kill her. He then drove off in her car, and the victim had to roll out of the way to avoid being run over. The woman was taken to Piedmont Hospital for treatment. This is the second violent attack at the Edgewood shopping center in less than a month. On June 25, a man was beaten and robbed outside the Barnes & Noble. Read more about that incident at this link. If you have information about either crime, contact Crime Stoppers at this link.
