MARTA trains will operate a special event service tonight to accommodate the expected increase in ridership for the Jay-Z and Beyoncé “On the Run” concert at the Georgia Dome. MARTA encourages customers to plan their trips accordingly in anticipation of the concert crowds and evening rush hour traffic. With thousands of parking spaces removed, road closures and construction for the new stadium, taking MARTA will most definitely be “smarta” to see Bey and Jay. There will be more frequent service on all lines and officials are encouraging riders to buy roundtrip fare at the beginning of their journey to avoid long lines trying to buy a return.
