The Sandy Springs City Council will hold a specal called meeting Wednesday, Aug. 6, at 6 p.m. to discuss natural resource protection. 

“We’ve seen a tremendous uptick in development, and while we welcome the growth, we want to be careful to balance progress and protection of our natural resources,” Sandy Sandy Springs Mayor Rusty Paul said in a press release.

The meeting will update the council on efforts in the areas of erosion and sediment control and stormwater. It will also will include a presentation on the city’s tree canopy and recommended changes to maintain that canopy. The public will be invited to give input.

The meeting will be held at City Hall, 7840 Roswell Road, Building 500.
