The 2013-2014 PGA TOUR season culminates as the top 30 players in the FedExCup standings come to East Lake Golf Club this week for The TOUR Championship. There’s plenty of actives for golf fans happening this week and upcoming weekend.

The opening ceremony for The TOUR will be held Thursday, Sept. 11, to coincide with Military Appreciate Day. An 11 a.m. ceremony will focus on the topics of “Hope, Tradition, and Honor” at East Lake. “Tradition” will be represented by Sid Matthews, a Bobby Jones historian. “Hope” will be represented by youth from The First Tee of East Lake. “Honor” will be represented by a color guard and general from the U.S. Military.

Friday, Sept. 12, is Payne Stewart Day during The TOUR and fans are encouraged to share their memories using the hashtag #PaynesLegacy on social media. On Saturday, Sept. 13, ticket holders will get a free “wake-up” concert from Yacht Rock Review at 9:05 a.m. During the concert, breakfast will be served from the Taste of ATL restaurants, Fox Bros. Bar-B-Q and Universal Joint along with morning cocktail options.

Sunday, Sept. 14, will mark the final round of competition for The TOUR starting at 11:45 a.m.
