The city of Brookhaven is hosting an open house for the newly renovated Lynwood Park Recreation Center  on Tuesday, Sept. 30, from 4 to 6 p.m. at 3360 Osborne Road. Residents are invited to tour the center, enjoy concessions and learn about park programs.

On Oct. 19 Brookhaven’s Office of Tourism is hosting a free concert in Blackburn Park  from 1 to 7 p.m. featuring musical acts Mr. Greggy, a children’s musician; Housebroken; Nathan Sheppard; and Journey Resurrection, a Journey tribute band. The event will feature food, beverages and a kids’ zone. No outdoor food or coolers permitted.

Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets, and the Falcons/Ravens game will be aired on the big screen. Blackburn Park is located at 3493 Ashford Dunwoody Road.
