A 24-hour cycling event to raise funds and awareness in the fight against cancer will necessitate some round-the-clock road closures in Sandy Springs this weekend.

“24 Hours of Booty” takes place Saturday, Oct. 4, and Sunday, Oct. 5, and will raise money for the Aflac Cancer Center at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta and the LIVESTRON Foundation and is hosted by Mount Vernon Presbyterian School.

The course is a 2.6 mile loop. Affected roads include parts of  Mount Vernon Highway, Glenridge Drive, Johnson Ferry Road, Hunting Creek Lane, Carriage Drive, Cherry Tree Lane, Vernon Woods Drive and Bridges Creek Trail.
