Sandy Springs Police detectives have arrested 32-year-old Anthony Michael Kallio of Duluth for making threats to the Art Institute of Atlanta by email, according to a press release from the police department. Kallio allegedly made threats that “Columbine 2014 will go down today.” Kallio was charged with terroristic threats and transported to the Alpharetta jail. Detectives are in the process of completing a search warrant for his residence.
An emailed threat to the Art Institute of Atlanta stating that “Columbine 2014 will go down today” has resulted in the evacuation and closing of the school on Tuesday.
According to Sandy Springs Police, a suspect has been identified and is being detained for questioning.
The school is located at 6600 Peachtree Dunwoody Road.
