Georgia Senate, District 6

Antron D. Johnson

Occupation: Owner,  50 State Medical Transport, LLC.

Elected offices held: None.

Community service experience? As the former Pastor of Dominion Worship Center, my community involvement runs deep. Servicing the least of us in our community is not only about faith but also about lifestyle. It’s what you do when the cameras aren’t rolling. I’m here because we need new leadership, period. Large campaign road signs won’t hide the fact that my opponent has stood consistently with this unethical Governor; they won’t hide that he’s done nothing in this “custom made” district.

Why should the voters choose you for this position?

My candidacy has never been about me; instead it has been about returning the people’s voice to the Georgia State Capital. They promised Jobs, we got the highest unemployment rate in the nation. They promised healthcare solutions, we got hospital closures while 650,000 are unable to get healthcare for their refusal to expand Medicaid. They promised to protect our veterans, yet there’s more uncertainty about Dobbins AFB, not less. 50,000 military jobs lost. Elect Antron Johnson for State Senate because my opponent has made promises he has no intention of keeping except one…end early & Sunday voting.

What is the biggest issue facing the constituents you seek to represent? How will you address that issue?

How do you measure “uncertainty”? Republicans tend to look at profit yields and gains while the people are burdened with unemployment and how to provide for their families. They have lost confidence in their government and we must restore that by establishing a fair Living Wage which removes many “entitlements” and puts the state’s budget in the black, fix Healthcare and Education gaps, there are many, yet by removing GOP roadblocks, they can be fixed. Certainty with Immigration Reforms and lowering our state Income Tax adds stability to businesses and restores confidence that government can work when we let it.

What’s the first thing you hope to accomplish after taking office?

This campaign is about the future of all Georgians. We’ve seen years of government dismantling for the sake of the conservative base. Ethical violations of GOP leaders requires us to work to restore that trust. My opponent promised to help fix our Education programs, but under this Governor, he whiffed. I’ll do it! He said he’d work to add Jobs, we’re worse off now than before. I’ll do it! Why re-elect someone who has done nothing? We need honest leaders who want to see people prosper, not just the big corporations.
