Sandy Springs City Council voted to extend by three days the temporary alcohol license for Taboo 3000, formerly known as Taboo 2 Bar & Bistro. The applicant for the license, Kenneth Durden, could not be at the Nov. 4 council meeting, and a request was made on his behalf to consider the license at the Nov. 18 council meeting.
When Durden’s application first appeared on the council’s agenda, some residents raised questions about the legitimacy of the establishment’s new ownership and crimes committed in the area, including the shooting death of a Brookhaven man on Aug. 4.
