Sandy Springs city officials are seeking a consultant to help evaluate designs for public portions of the planned City Center.

The city on Nov. 19 issued a formal “request for proposals” to five firms that Sandy Springs City Council selected during its Nov. 28 meeting to be considered for the job of Construction Management at Risk.

The firms — Balfour Beatty; Holder; McCarthy Builders; Whiting-Turner; and Skanska — will have until Dec. 8 to respond to the request for proposals, city officials said. City officials will interview representatives of the firms later in December and recommend one to the City Council on Jan. 6 for selection, city officials said during the Nov. 18 meeting.
