A 24-year-old Brookhaven man was shot Thursday night outside the Villas at Druid Hills Apartments on Buford Highway.

The man suffered a non-life threatening gunshot wound to his leg and was taken to Grady Hospital, police spokesperson Carlos Nino wrote in a press release. He said to police that he was shot because he refused to give the two men his wallet upon request.

Brookhaven Police are asking for help locating two men:
The first man is described as a 20-year-old with a thin built, and about 5-foot-9-inches tall. He was wearing a black hoodie.

The second man is described as about 5-foot-8-inches tall, with a thin build. He was wearing sagging pants. Witnesses told police that they heard an argument or shouting outside their apartment, where they saw the man who was shot and the other two men. The witnesses also told police they saw the man who was shot walk away from the subjects and witnesses saw the man wearing the hoodie shooting at the victim, before walking away from the apartment complex, south on Buford Highway.
Brookhaven detectives and crime scene technicians processed the crime scene for evidence and located a shell casing along Buford Highway.
