The Punchline Comedy Club, a comedy institution in Sandy Springs, is thinking about moving, the Atlanta Business Chronicle and ajc.com report.

“A variety of things lined up with redevelopment coming in Sandy Springs and some exciting things happening around metro Atlanta,” Punchline co-owner Jamie Bendall said in a statement, according to the Business Chronicle’s website. “It’s hard not to love your original showroom and all of the memories from over the years. Nevertheless, we’re excited for the opportunity a new location offers that will incorporate the best aspects of the current club with some new features.”

Ajc.com said the club would close in April.

The club has operated in Sandy Springs for 33 years and hosted some of the biggest names in comedy, the Business Chronicle’s website says.
