A group of Atlantans wants to see a pedestrian and bike bridge built over Moreland Avenue to connect Freedom Park to the Freedom Park PATH. A Facebook page called FreedomBridgeATL has been set up for discussion and to gain support for the project. Anyone who travels the busy intersection of Freedom Parkway and Moreland will know that pedestrian and cycle activity is especially heavy their on sunny days and weekends. It might be money well spent.

OliverMcMillan Inc., the San Diego developer behind the $1 billion Buckhead Atlanta mixed-use project, is plotting its next addition — a seven or eight story office building. According to the Atlanta Business Chronicle, the building would rise on the site of HiFi Buys, which occupies a less than 1-acre but highly coveted parcel of land in the Buckhead Village that once sold for $16.5 million.

Decaturish reports that the City of Decatur has almost reached its debt limit,since it has borrowed $154.2 million since 2005. City Schools of Decatur also borrowed about $18 million more to begin the process of expanding its schools. The School Board has now decided to ask the Decatur City Commission to put an $82 million bond referendum on the ballot this year.
