Surveillance video from the Kroger on Ponce showing the two suspects exiting a BMW and looking at the truck of the construction worker later shot and killed in the parking lot.

The Atlanta Police Department has arrested a suspect, Demarius Thompson, 29, in the March 10 murder of an Alabama construction worker outside the Kroger supermarket on Ponce de Leon Avenue.

Joshua Richey, 38, was shot after interrupting a thief inside his truck. Richey – who had been working nearby – attempted to confront the suspect who was breaking into his truck. He slapped his hand on the window of his truck and the assailant shot him through the window.

Surveillance cameras showed the suspect with a second person leaving the scene in a black BMW.

Police are still looking for the driver of the car.
