UPDATE: The Lindbergh-LaVista Corridor Coalition and official from MARTA will host a walk of the proposed Clifton Corridor Light Rail Line on Saturday, May 2, from 10 a.m. to noon. Due to scheduling conflict with CSX, the walk will now begin at The Morningside Nature Preserve (South side of the CSX Railroad Tracks on Lenox Road). Hiking boots or similar footwear is recommended.

Tim Borchers, executive director of Atlanta Streetcar, has resigned his position, according to a report from the Atlanta Business Chronicle. Borchers last day will be May 8 and a search for his replacement will begin immediately. Borchers did not disclose his future plans.

Trees Atlanta will open a new office in Stove Works in Inman Park to serve as a new education and research center, called Trees Atlanta TreeHouse. The 3,800 square-foot facility will be the non-profit’s second office and will provide a venue for Trees Atlanta’s many youth and adult educational programs. The newly designed space will feature flexible multipurpose areas for educational classes and lectures. Innovative features will include seasonally changing exhibits and interactive play zones for all ages. A backdoor will open directly onto the Atlanta BeltLine’s Eastside Trail, which will serve as an outdoor classroom and laboratory. The new center is expected to open in August.
