Dunwoody celebrates National Bike to School Day, which started in 2012, on Wednesday May 6. The event takes place at almost 1,000 local places in 49 states and the District of Colombia as part of a coordinated effort with the League of American Bicyclists’ National Bike Month.
Building on the popularity of Walk to School Day, which is celebrated in October across the country, many communities and schools have been holding springtime walk or bike to events for years.
More than 2,200 schools participated in the 2014 National Bike to School Day.
