Gov. Nathan Deal has called a special election to be held on July 14 to choose a member of the Georgia House of Representatives in District 80.

The seat was vacated by the resignation of former Rep. Mike Jacobs (R-Brookhaven), who was appointed to a DeKalb County state court judgeship.

District 80 take in portions of Brookhaven and Sandy Springs and a small sliver of Dunwoody.
