Dunwoody has hired its first assistant city manager, the city announced May 29.

The city said Jessica J. Guinn, who most recently worked as director of community development in Woodstock, Ga., would start work in Dunwoody on June 1.

Guinn will report directly to City Manager Eric Linton and will assist with administrative, managerial, and day-to-day operations, the city said in a press release.

“Jessica brings more than a decade of strategic local government capability to the Dunwoody team,” Mayor Mike Davis said in the release.  “We were very impressed with her first-hand experience with various Livable Centers Initiatives, knowledge of land use and master planning services.  All of these skills will help our city.”
