A popular Atlanta artist who was commissioned to create a sculpture of Martin Luther King Jr. that was to be featured on the grounds of the Georgia Capitol died over the weekend following a motorcycle accident. According to CBS46, Andy Davis was traveling on his motorcycle when he was rear-ended by a suspected drunk driver in Henry County early Saturday morning.

The owners of Skyview Ferris wheel in Downtown plan to bring a new drop-ride called Skyfall Atlanta next summer.  According to the AJC, the $5 million ride will be taller than Skyview and bring a “thrill component” for tourists and visitors.

The controversial Krog Masquerade party is set to return to the Krog Street tunnel on Oct. 17. The party website has been updated with information and ticket prices ranging from $40 for general admission to $100 for VIP. A group of artists whitewashed the walls of the tunnel to remove the iconic graffiti before last year’s event in protest of the tunnel being used for commercial purposes.
