Proponents of a charter school in Brookhaven submitted their completed application to state charter school officials on Monday, Aug. 17, board chairman Bates Mattison said in an email.

The State Charter School Commission could rule on the Brookhaven Innovation Academy’s application this week, Mattison said, or wait until the board’s September meeting.

The application includes responses to questions raised last month by a committee appointed by the board, Mattison said in a letter accompanying the application.
