The Georgia Department of Transportation said in a pres release that lanes will be closed overnight on I-285 between Dunwoody and Sandy Springs.

Contractors will be cutting asphalt cores this week starting Tuesday Aug. 25 until Thursday Aug. 27 to test sections of the roadway. The left lane and shoulder lane will be closed both East and Westbound on I-285 from Ashford-Dunwoody Road to Riverside Drive. The public should be aware that slower speeds are necessary due to reduced travel lanes in this area.
GDOT advises motorists to slow down as they travel through this and all work zones. Message signs, barrels and/or cones will be used to alert the public of the upcoming changes. Drivers should be aware that personnel and equipment will be operating in close proximity to travel lanes.
