DeKalb County sanitation officials on Aug. 27 announced their schedule for picking up garbage, recycling and yard trimmings on the Labor Day holiday and during the following week.

On Labor Day, Sept. 7, there will be no garbage pickups, DeKalb County announced.

On Tuesday, Sept. 8, the department will pick up  from residents whose trash usually is scheduled to be collected on Mondays.

On Wednesday, Sept. 9, the department will pick up from residents whose trash usually is scheduled for collection on Tuesdays.

On Thursday, Sept. 10, trash will be collected from residences scheduled for pickups on Wednesdays and on Friday, Sept. 11, trash will be collected from residences scheduled for pickup on Thursdays.
