Here To Serve restaurant group’s eateries will remain closed, according to a report from 11 Alive News. Ten restaurants – including Noche, Prime, Strip, Twist, Smash Kitchen, Coast and Shucks – closed abruptly a week ago.
Here To Serve restaurant group owner Leigh Catherall said she would need substantial help from investors to reopen the restaurants. There was controversy last week when hundreds of employees didn’t receive paychecks, but the company paid workers at the end of the week. A group of employees has filed a lawsuit against Here To Serve after losing their jobs.
Catherall, who took control of Here To Serve from founder and former husband Tom Catherall, said she believes some of the restaurants will re-open one day.
“There are brands that investors are interested in and I think we have opportunities there,” said Catherall. “I love my staff. They know that. They know how committed I am. I wish the best for all of them.”
