The Rotary Club of Sandy Springs will host the annual Public Safety Awards Luncheon Oct. 19 to recognize Sandy Springs’ fire, police and Emergency Medical Service professionals.

Sandy Springs Fire Chief Keith Sanders and Police Chief Kenneth DiSimone will present the awards to their department honorees at 12:15 p.m. at the Hilton Perimeter Suites off Peachtree-Dunwoody Road in Sandy Springs.

Recipients of public safety awards are chosen by Sandy Springs Fire, EMS and Police departments.

The club will also coordinate the Public Service Dinners at Fire House #2 on Oct. 20, 21 and 22 from 5 to 7 p.m.

Firehouse #2 is located at Johnson Ferry Road and Sandy Springs Circle. Dinners are provided by Carl’s Catering on Oct. 20, Brooklyn Café on Oct. 21 and Ippolitos on Oct. 22. These dinners are served over three consecutive evenings to accommodate the changing work shifts of Sandy Springs’ fire, police and EMS professionals, Sally Wyeth, a spokeswoman for the Rotary Club, wrote in a press release.

The Rotary Club of Sandy Springs has a 45-year history of service both internationally and locally to the Sandy Springs community. The club welcomes interested business leaders, professionals and community leaders to visit for most Mondays for lunch at 12:15 p.m.
