The mystery continues of what happened to a Georgia Tech student who disappeared earlier this month after an off-campus party and was found injured along railroad tracks.

Sources told CBS46, James Hubert, 24, leapt from a bridge onto a moving CSX train. That contradicts Facebook postings from Hubert’s mother that he was robbed and beaten by a group of homeless men on MARTA. The transit system released a statement last week that Hubert was never on MARTA.

Hubert was found underneath a pile of coats along the railroad tracks on DeKalb Avenue by friends who were using the find my iPhone app. He had his date’s cell phone in his jacket pocket.

Sources said Hubert did not take his car to the sorority party at Puritan Mill, but his vehicle was missing from its assigned parking spot at his apartment. Friends told police they believe Hubert was allegedly drunk and taking recreational drugs.
