The Dunwoody Perimeter Chamber is one of seven high-achieving chambers recognized this year in Georgia.
The awards were presented Nov. 16 at the 2015 Georgia Certified Chamber during Georgia Association of Chamber of Commerce Executive Volunteer Leader Conference in Pine Mountain, Ga.
The chambers awarded the certificates of accreditation join 47 chambers statewide that have earned the same recognition since the program started four years ago.
The GACCE Board of Directors in 2011 created the Georgia Certified Chamber Program to recognize organizations that assessed their internal strengths, weaknesses and opportunities to create efficient, effective organizations positioned to deliver great value.
The program encourages excellence in the chamber industry and works to foster a pro-business environment across the state. Chambers must meet standards in organization, service intent and capacity, professional administration, financial management, communications, and advocacy in order to achieve the designation.
The following chambers of commerce make up the 2015 class of Georgia Certified Chambers:
1. Covington-Newton County Chamber
2. Dahlonega-Lumpkin County Chamber
3. Dunwoody Perimeter Chamber
4. Eatonton-Putnam Chamber
