Neighbors and nonprofits are picking up the pieces after a 2-alarm fire Sunday night left about 10 families without homes.
DeKalb County firefighters fought the fire at the Dunwoody Crossing Dunwoody Village Apartments complex, located off North Peachtree Road near I-285. The fire was reported just before 6 p.m.
Dunwoody police said 10 apartment units are damaged beyond repair.
Dunwoody City Councilman John Heneghan confirmed nonprofits I Care Atlanta and the Red Cross are actively helping those displaced by the fire.
