200The Atlanta Department of Public Works, Keep Atlanta Beautiful, Keep Georgia Beautiful, the Georgia Forestry Commission, The Home Depot, The Davey Tree Company, the Ferry Morse Company and WXIA 11 Alive will Christmas tree recycling events throughout the city on Jan. 2 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Residents can drop off their Christmas trees at the following locations:

Complimentary dogwood seedlings and vegetable flower seed packets will be available to residents recycling Christmas Trees while supplies last. Residents can also request free mulch from The Davey Tree Company but must be able to accept a full truck load. Standard load sizes are 15-20 cubic yards. To request mulch, call (770) 451-7911.

The City of Decatur will also host Christmas tree recycling starting on Monday, Dec. 28. Residents should drop off their trees in the Agnes Scott College parking lot between 184 and 206 S. Candler Street (Please do not leave trees anywhere else on the Agnes Scott campus). The drop off period runs from Dec. 28 to Jan. 9.
