The city of Brookhaven is now posting online its monthly stats on everything from the tally of building permits issued to the number of doggie waste bags used at local parks.

City Manager Marie Garrett has always compiled the reports on the activity of each city department, according to a city spokeswoman, but now they will be available online here.

The reports include data on such topics as police department arrests, street paving and city finances. Some departments’ reports have charts showing the past year of activity. A few examples of stats from December 2015: 463 incidents reported to the police department; four sidewalks repaired by Public Works; and 16 open records requests handled by the city clerk.

Brookhaven Police Department activity stats for October through December 2015 from the newly posted month city department reports.
