Various local institutions have announced early closings today, Jan. 22, because of the approaching winter storm.

So far, this is what we’ve been told:

Brookhaven City Hall, Parks & Recreation closing at 1 p.m. Parks & Rec activities for today (Friday) have been cancelled, and the recreation centers will have a delayed opening of 10 a.m. on Saturday. City contractors will be onsite tomorrow to treat park facility entryways prior to opening and will remain on call.

DeKalb County Administrative offices will be closing today at noon

Sandy Springs City Hall will close at noon today for general city services.

Fulton County government offices will close at 1:30 p.m.

Holy Innocents’ Episcopal School will dismiss school today, Jan. 22, due to the impending winter storm. The pre-school and lower school will dismiss at noon. The middle school and upper school will dismiss at 12:30. All Winterfest activities will be cancelled, including games and reception.

Dunwoody High School will close at 12:15 p.m.

Fulton County elementary schools will dismiss at 12:20 p.m., high schools will dismiss at 1:30 p.m., and middle schools will dismiss at 2:05 p.m. After-school and athletic events on Friday are cancelled, and on Saturday, events before 1 p.m. (including the FCS Science Fair and SAT exams) are cancelled.
