Better pedestrian and bicycle travel on Glenridge Drive could be coming in a “Complete Streets” plan the city of Sandy Springs will present at a Feb. 17 meeting.

The plan aims to improve Glenridge Drive between Roswell Road and the Glenridge Connector. The city eventually will include “Complete Streets” principles in any major road work, according to city spokeswoman Sharon Kraun.

The Glenridge Complete Streets project is separate from the city’s project to realign the Glenridge/Roswell intersection, which is the subject of a Feb. 10 meeting. That intersection project was developed before the “Complete Streets” concept and includes new sidewalks, but not bike lanes, according to Kraun.

The Feb. 17 Complete Streets meeting will include an open house, brief presentation and workshop. It will run 6 to 8 p.m. at City Hall, City Council Chambers, 7840 Roswell Road.
