A survey released by Niche.com puts the city of Dunwoody as the second best suburb in metro Atlanta for young professionals.

The website states high rankings are due to “affordable, diverse communities and lots of things to do.”

The top 10 metro Atlanta suburbs for millenials for 2015, according to Niche.com:

1. Doraville

2. Dunwoody

3. Decatur

4. Duluth

5. Smyrna

6. Milton

7. Suwanee

8. Kennesaw

9. Norcross

10. Woodstock

Traffic, crime, unemployment rate, access to restaurants and bars, average rent, and ethnic makeup of the city contributed to Dunwoody’s high ranking, according to the website.

Dunwoody received an “A” for commute and Niche.com reports those ages 25-34 living in the city of nearly 50,000 make up 17.8 percent of the population.

The city received a C+ grade for crime and safety and also received an A+ grade for access to restaurants. The city received a B for access to bars and an A for access to coffee shops.

Dunwoody’s higher education rate is at 66.5 percent, according to Niche.com.

Rankings were determined using U.S. Census data and other federal, state and local government datasets, according to the website.
