Sandy Springs is offering inspections on March 30 to make sure child safety seats in motor vehicles are properly installed.

The inspections and training on installation, conducted by Sandy Springs Fire Rescue and Safe Kids Georgia, will be held by appointment from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Fire Station No. 2, 135 Johnson Ferry Road. Inspections take 30 to 60 minutes. To schedule an appointment, call 770-206-1518.

Under Georgia law, all children under age 8 riding in a motor vehicle must be in a safety seat or booster seat, according to the city of Sandy Springs. The Sandy Springs Police Department provides safety seats for free to parents and guardians who cannot afford them. For more information, call 770-551-6900.
