Dunwoody police confiscate drugs

A wrong-way driver on I-285 and Peachtree Industrial Boulevard was stopped by Dunwoody Police and arrested for DUI and found to be carrying hundreds of pills.

Sgt. Aaron Belt said Officer Danny Tedesco with DPD noticed a male motorist driving east on I-285 westbound at about 3:30 a.m. on March 20. The wrong-way driver exited at North Peachtree Road and Cotillion Drive, continuing to drive the wrong by traveling north on the southbound lanes of Peachtree Industrial Road. The driver crossed over the Gwinnett County line and pulled into an apartment complex.

Tedesco found the driver in the complex and arrested him for DUI. Located in the man’s vehicle were 28 prescription bottles filled with various drugs that are now being processed. All of the bottles had the driver’s name on them, Belt said.
