Two candidates–Brian Eufinger and Suzi Voyles–qualified for the Sandy Springs City Council District 3 special election on the first day of qualifying, according to the city.

At least five people have declared an intent to run in the May 24 election. The qualifying period continues through the afternoon of April 15.

Eufinger is the founder of a school test-taking preparation company and runs the “Sandy Springs Zoning Coalition” Facebook group. Voyles is a homemaker and acting executive director of the Fulton County Republican Party.

Graham McDonald resigned from the District 3 seat last month to make a state House run.
