Two proposals for townhome clusters in Sandy Springs—one on Boylston Drive and one on Carpenter Drive—will be vetted in upcoming community meetings.

Westwood Property Development recently proposed a 15-unit townhome project on a wooded lot at 6052 Boylston Drive, next to the Northside Tower parking garage. The project would require a rezoning. The first community meeting will be held Wed., April 20, 6:30 p.m. at Mount Vernon Presbyterian Church, 471 Mount Vernon Highway.

In the city’s 2012 City Center Master Plan, the Boylston property was noted as a possible site for a stormwater management pond, much like one currently being built on Johnson Ferry Road. City spokesperson Sharon Kraun said no formal plans for the townhomes have been filed yet, so the city can’t comment on possible stormwater impacts. Westwood did not respond to an email.

At 305 Carpenter Drive, Masoud Zahedi proposes 18 townhome units on an empty lot, and seeks rezoning and variances related to utility relocation. The community meeting will be held Mon., April 25, 6 p.m., at City Hall’s council chambers, 7840 Roswell Road, Building 500.
