A special called meeting of the Dunwoody City Council is set for Wednesday, May 4, at 5 p.m. at City Hall to go over zoning in the Perimeter Center.

A year ago, the city of Dunwoody contracted with Duncan Associates and CodaMetrics to write out a specific plan for Perimeter Center because, during the Zoning and Land Development Code Rewrite process, City Council determined the area required additional attention through an independent process.

For example, Dunwoody’s code states buildings can be no higher than five stories, but the building at Three Ravinia Drive is 31 stories. This new code will correct the “huge disconnect” between what exists now and recent development, including the State Farm development.

The Dunwoody Homeowner’s Association reviewed a draft of the zoning plan on Aug. 2, 2015, and City Council conducted a work session to discuss the components of the draft on Aug. 3, 2015.
