Who knows better what they want on a playground than those actually playing on them?

Children are invited to plan out what they want Brookhaven’s playgrounds at  Murphey Candler and Blackburn parks to look like at workshops set for June 6 and June 8.

“The workshops will be conducted in an interactive format that will encourage participants to express their ideas through drawings. The images will be used to develop the future programming and designs of each playground facility,” according to a press release.

For more information, email Brookhaven’s Director of Parks and Recreation Brian Borden at Brian.Borden@brookhavenga.gov.

The workshops are:

Murphey Candler Park: Monday, June 6, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the MCP Lakeside Pavilion

Blackburn Park: Wednesday, June 8, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Blackburn Tennis Center
