Sandy Springs Police are searching for a woman accused of killing her grandchild with a methamphetamine overdose.

Tonya Moore, 45, the 9-month-old infant’s grandmother, is accused of killing the child with meth on March 11. She was last seen driving a 2004 silver Toyota 4-Runner.

According to Sandy Springs Police, officers responded to a call of an unresponsive infant on March 11 at about 11 a.m. The Fulton County Medical Examiner’s Office recently determined the baby had died of a meth overdose, the department stated in a press release.

Foul play was not suspected in the baby’s death in March because the baby suffered from a genetic disease that is fatal in infants, according to police.

The police department issued arrest warrants for Moore on June 14.  She is charged with felony murder, possession of meth and cruelty to children.
