Teammates Nicholas Loannides and Cooper Brown, both 11, await their turn as dice keeper Lauren Dobbins, 8, prepares to deliver the big dice to the next team.

Now this is Monopoly, at least the way they play it at the library in Brookhaven. Human Monopoly “started here at Brookhaven three years ago and has traveled to several other [library] branches in DeKalb,” said Francis Dotson who’s now branch manager a the Northlake library branch.

In this version of the classic board game, players work in teams of two. One teammate rolls the dice and walks the board while the other keeps track of the team’s money and properties.
