The Atlanta Police Department released a photo and video of a man in the Forever Diamonds store at Lenox Mall that they said would like to speak with about the recent shooting of a woman in the mall’s parking lot.
A 23-year-old woman was shot in the parking lot of Lenox Mall on June 29 after she and her fiancée and their 2-year-old son were getting into their car to leave.
According to an Atlanta Police Department report, the woman and her fiancée and child had been shopping in the mall, including in the Forever Diamonds store,
on June 29 when two armed men came up to them as they were leaving at about 8:45 p.m. The two men had pistols and demanded their belongings and attempted to enter the vehicle. A physical altercation occurred and the woman was shot in the stomach. The two armed robbers than fled the scene on foot.
The man called 911 and attempted to drive his fiancée to the hospital; a 911 dispatcher told him to pull over and wait for an ambulance. The man pulled into the Benihana restaurant on Peachtree Road. The woman was taken to Grady Hospital where she had surgery for her gunshot wound and is now in stable condition. Police continue to investigate and search for the suspects.
