Brookhaven will be one of only a few cities in the country this year to host a park viewing of the smash hit “Star Wars: The Force Awakens.”

The fun announcement of the free movie screening happened at the beginning of the July 12 City Council meeting and featured special guest Darth Vader. Mr. Vader did not speak but seemed pleased by the smiles and laughs from those in attendance.

The movie will be screened at Blackburn Park on July 30 at 9 p.m. Before the movie begins, there will be a Nerf battle and kids and parents can fill up on dinner at food trucks on site. The movie is sponsored by B-98.5.
