Summer is coming to a close and it’s time to get back into gear for the school year.

The Sandy Springs Recreation and Parks annual Back 2 School Bash is slated for 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Aug. 16 at Hammond Park and will include water slides, games, a DJ, face painting, snow cones and popcorn and more.

The event is free and open to the public.

Parents will also have the opportunity to check out fall programming for their children, including gymnastics classes and new programs such as fencing, rowing, yoga and Pilates classes.

  1. Is this for our Public School students? No one gets to use any of the 49 or so Private Schools so those “special” children should not be part of this. Public Space event for Public School kids.
